Our World coverage of the U.S., Europe and the Middle East focuses on how events there affect Asia.
The Editorial Board
The Editorial Board writes the unsigned editorials in our Opinion section. Editorials present the view of Capital Times as an institution, not of any one writer. They are always labeled as opinion and never appear in news pages. News, analysis and guides do not argue for a position. See our Editorial Standards for how we keep the two apart.
How bylines work
News, analysis, explainers and guides carry the byline "Capital Times Staff." Editorials carry the byline "The Editorial Board."
A staff byline reflects how our articles are made. Each one passes through several stages: research and drafting with the help of AI tools, an independent fact-check against every cited source, and review by an editor. The byline signals that Capital Times as a whole stands behind the article and is accountable for it.
We do not publish articles under individual reporters' names at present. If that changes, this page will list the people concerned.
